I just wanted to thank those of you who are checking and adding to the blog. I am lax. I thought I would just let you know that we are fine here with the fires in So. Cal. The ash and bad air has been funneled down our way though. Little Mountain, behind our house burned but no houses were lost. The mountains behind us have had several fires and because of the canyons much of the smoke and ash comes our way. They closes all of San Bernardino school Tuesday morning and we just got notice they will be closed the remainder of the week. The air quality is so bad they don't want people out in it. The winds were awful on Sunday through Tuesday. (50 - 102 miles per hour gusts) We lost most of one of the trees in our front yard. At one point branches broke and were pulling down the electrical wires in our frond yard. We had to call the city and eventually they came and cut down more of the tree to free the wires. I have had college coursework which has been overwhelming. I had to apply for two personal necessity days to observe ten hours in an elementary classroom. I was able to do it during our smoke days, but no one around here would let me come so I drove to Desert Hot Springs the past two days to observe out there. It is amazing, with all the wind and smoke here, out there the windmills are almost still and it is clear and gorgeous! It was a good place to be. Well, we love you all some day I'll figure out how to add a picture or two. Right now it took me a while to figure out how to get this far. Love ya, Kitsy
