176 Days and 1056 Hours

I finally have my life back now that school is over so I am going to take this wonderful opportunity to fill you in on my life-which is not that exciting believe me. So I survived the last couple of weeks of school despite very rude and disrespectful girls in my class and their even more rude and disrespectful parents. Please to those of you who read this and plan on being parents someday or are already parents-please don't always believe everything you children say-because chances are if they have done something wrong they will tell you what they think you want to hear, or what they think will get someone else (the teacher) in trouble. Look at me talking like I know-I am afraid I will be rudely awakened to how things really are when I have kids of my own, but for now, I am on the opposite end of the spectrum and I am just going to say-don't always believe your kids :) :)!! So that was major drama and then my principal basically lectured me about how education is a people pleasing job, and how I need to be more positive with parents and work on my tone, and then he asked me (on the last day of school of all days) if I liked teaching-and I wanted to say to him "It is the last day of school after spending 176 days and 1056 hours with the same kids--no I do not like teaching." So I was a little annoyed and hesitant to sign my next years contract, but I did for some weird reason-we need money I guess!! Don't get me wrong -for the most part I did have a good class, and we did some fun things, but it gets hard toward the end of the year, and for some strange reason I sometimes tend to dwell on the negative things (is anyone else like me)?!?!? So after school was over we moved to Idaho Falls. It was kind of ironic that after 2 years of driving to Idaho Falls from Rexburg that we would move 15 minutes instead of 45 minutes from where I work-I am hoping that will make life easier for me teaching next year. Dave is working at a bank as a teller and our apartment is 2 minutes from his work, so he comes home for lunch and hangs out with me will I vege (sorry to all of you working people out there). So now I am going to exercise and read--the two things I never have time to do during the school year. Other then that, my life is pretty uneventful and probably will be for the next 2 months-but I am okay with that. Unless any of you want to pay for us to go to Hawaii or someplace exotic like that. I hope you are all doing good, and enjoying life. Luv ya!
